Quote currencies
Every trade routes through one of two quote currencies, matching where Robinhood Chain's liquidity actually lives.
Native ETH
Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its gas token, and Uniswap v4 treats native ETH (currency address zero) as a first-class pool currency. There is no meaningful WETH on the chain.
Memecoins and utility tokens pair almost exclusively against native ETH. CASHCAT alone has ~96 ETH pools and zero USDG pools.
USDG (Global Dollar)
The canonical stablecoin on the chain, issued by Paxos. The official stock tokens trade against USDG.
Beware: several scam tokens also use the USDG name and symbol. hoodpocket pins the verified address and never resolves stablecoins by name.
USD valuation for guardrails
Your limits are denominated in dollars regardless of which side a trade touches:
- USDG amounts are dollars by definition
- ETH amounts are valued through the deep native-ETH/USDG pools (57 of them) via the Uniswap v4 quoter
- Other tokens are valued through their best pool, directly to USDG or via ETH
So a $100 per-trade cap means $100 whether the agent is buying a memecoin with ETH or a stock token with USDG.
Pair rules
- One side of every quote or swap must be
ETHorUSDG ETH ↔ USDGitself is always tradeable (useful for rebalancing gas against stable)- Token-to-token routing (for example CASHCAT directly to AAPL) is not supported yet; go through a quote currency in two trades
